Dear Community Partner,
I am writing to you concerning a sponsorship opportunity in support of Mustard Seed Communities (MSC). MSC is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that cares for the needs of orphaned children and adults with special needs in Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Zimbabwe (http://www.mustardseed.com). In the summer of 2012 my sister and I had the privilege of traveling to Jamaica and spending five weeks living in one of MSC’s orphanages in order to volunteer with these amazing children. My sister and I were lucky enough to become God-parents to two of their residents (to read more about our amazing experience please visit: http://christinajamaica.blogspot.com). Sadly my sister’s Godson, Eniko, passed away in September of 2013. Although he was only eight years old he had been sick and suffering for years. Through it all Mustard Seed Communities continued to care for his needs. We were heart-broken to learn of his passing and wanted to do everything we can to honor his short life and help support MSC’s mission to care for these abandoned children.
My sisters and I are dedicated to honoring Eniko’s memory by raising funds for Mustard Seed Communities. We are organizing a local 5k run/walk in order to raise money. The 5k will take place on June 29th, 2014 in Frederick MD. We are asking local community business owners such as you to consider a financial donation. There are many costs associated with organizing a 5k and we are hoping to have all of these costs (estimated at $2,500) covered through donations so that Eniko’s fellow residents at MSC will receive a greater portion of the proceeds from this event. Any donations collected in excess of the amount we need to pay for the race will be donated to Mustard Seed Communities.

- Silver Level Sponsorship: $200
- Gold Level Sponsorship: $500
- Platinum Level Sponsorship: $1000
